Welcome to the short, sweet, Sunday Trenchant Edges, where we take a quick peek at the topics I’m incubating for next week. They’re all subject to change if something really catches my attention, of course.

And since we all know I have the attention span of a bat on speed… well, you know.

Trenchant Edges is about taking weird ideas seriously and seeing what we can learn from them. It’s easy to dismiss or come up with an excuse to ignore a mainstream consensus. What’s hard is getting in the mud with an idea, seeing how it ticks, and wrestling it out.

This week we’ve got two Terence McKenna updates, a McLuhan update, and a bit on UFOs. And as a treat, I’m digging up worthwhile books on or around Psychedelics written in the last decade or so.
