Very interesting post, history of religion in United States is fascinating, since there are so many denominations, unlike in some countries I could name, where everything outside of One True Church is strange. I can't imagine how can Christian's there have some form of solidarity, when there is no Person in Charge, who could tell them what is right or wrong.
One thing I didn't understand is wtf was Phineas Quinby and what did he do. I don't know anything about this guy
