From my beloved "I Am Not A Crank" genre, on the malevolent intelligence being manifested into our world by the proliferation of computers. 2) On uncovering the hidden histories buried by All Empires: the fantastic Broken Earth trilogy of novels addresses this theme (and so many others) in a heady, engaging way. They're the best fiction books I've read in years.
