So this hasn’t been working. Or, let’s be precise: I haven’t been.
There are reasons for this, ultimately I don’t think they matter. I made a commitment and have broken the fuck out of it over the last year.
I don’t want to make more promises I can’t keep.
The Next Four Weeks
The first two months of this newsletter went pretty well, and a big part of why was a rigid publication schedule.
I don’t think I can handle that rate and volume of publication on top of my client work, but I do think this needs some kind of real structure.
Thing is, I’ve still only got about 30 minutes a day of sitting before it starts to hurt. And if I push that, I’m probably going to just repeat this loop of self injury.
I don’t really know what kind of format will actually work. I’ve probably got another few weeks before I’ve recovered enough and done enough PT to be able to add serious writing to my workload.
Here’s what I think will work: Every day in May around 10am, you’ll get an email from me. It’s not going to be long. But it’ll be there.
After that, we’ll see.
I’ve not entirely been sitting on my ass. Among other things I’ve finally gotten a copy of Terence McKenna’s 1975 edition of The Invisible Landscape.
Hoping to get some extra bucks in the next couple months to get one of those scanner wands so I can make a digital copy for everyone. It was pricier than I’d like, but at least now I won’t get mad everytime I look for a copy and find out it’s another $50 more than it was last time.
I’ve got some other irons in the fire, but I don’t want to spoil too much too soon.
We’ll see how things play out over this next week.
See you tomorrow morning.
